Sauze d'Oulx, in Italy’s northwest, is a quaint village with a long history which has shrugged off its ‘Ibiza on Snow’ image while remaining popular with party-loving holidaymakers looking for affordable ski-ing and a vibrant après-ski scene.
Based in the Susa Valley within the Piedmont region of the Italian Alps, Sauze d’Oulx is near the French border. Its location on the Via Lattea (Milky Way) lift pass area links it to neighbouring Pragelato, Sestriere, Cesana, Claviere, Sansicario and Montgenèvre over the border in France. Transfer time from Turin is just an hour and a quarter.
With 400km of pistes for skiers of all levels, three ski schools, perfect conditions and extensive, uncrowded runs allowing you to go at your own pace, you’ll love the fun and fulfilling ski-ing in Sauze d'Oulx.
The 2006 Winter Olympics meant heavy investment in all the Milky Way resorts, and there are over 70 lifts here, including cable cars, drags and chair lifts. While intermediates will revel in the great choice of red runs, novices can enjoy the village nursery slope at the foot of the Clotes chairlift and Sportinia, a wide open plateau with easy runs.
