Los Zocos Club Resort Location View Los Zocos Club Resort, Lanzarote in a larger map Costa Teguise Information Costa Teguise lies on the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Isles. Lanzarote is best known for its incredible volcanic landscape plus excellent weather and first-class beaches. The northern side of Lanzarote boasts several amazing natural spectacles such as the volcanic caves at Cueva de los Verdes and the Fire Mountains, a group of volcanoes and lava fields. The strangely beautiful landscape has been described as resembling the surface of the moon, and has inspired a number of unique developments. The most famous is the Jameos del Agua, a landscaped underground garden. Costa Teguise is the longest-established resort on Lanzarote, though not the largest. It is relatively quiet when compared with, say, Puerto de Carmen. Lying less than 10km from the airport and the capital at Arrecife, the resort is popular with holidaymakers seeking excellent beaches and endless sunshine. The resort was purpose-built to fit in with the local countryside. It consists mainly of attractive low, white buildings with shutters painted in cheerful colours. Night life tends to be fairly sedate. Costa Teguise is a place to relax over a good meal and a glass of wine rather than party the night away. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants on offer, all the same. Nearby Puerto del Carmen is much more of a party town and has a range of bars and discos on offer. The nightlife is considerably more upbeat than in Costa Teguise. |
